An 8-Week In-Person Mindfulness Series for Life and Work in Silicon Valley
In Silicon Valley, stress rarely comes from one place.
It’s the full calendar, constant problem-solving, pressure to stay relevant, and the way work follows us home. Add family responsibilities, caregiving, relationships, and the general state of the world, and it’s easy for the body and mind to stay in a low-grade state of tension.
Our Mind–Body Stress Reduction Workshop is an eight-week, in-person mindfulness series designed for people navigating demanding work lives while also carrying full lives outside of work. The event is held on Monday evenings from 6-7 PM starting January 5 at A Healing Place in San Jose.
This is not a productivity program or a performance upgrade. It’s a space to slow down, reset your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself.
A safe space to explore what you need
Many people who come to this series spend their days supporting teams, leading projects, solving complex problems, or making decisions that affect others. There are very few places where they don’t need to be “on.”
This workshop offers a protected pause.
A consistent time each week where you can set work aside, arrive as you are, and focus on your own well-being. No fixing. No optimizing. Just space to breathe, notice, and reconnect.
Flip focus on stress to self-care
Workplace stress doesn’t stay at work. It shows up as tight shoulders in meetings, shallow breathing while answering emails, restless sleep, and a nervous system that rarely fully settles.
Over eight weeks, we work with both mind and body to help you:
- Notice how stress patterns show up during the workday
- Interrupt automatic reactions before they take over
- Regulate your nervous system in real-world situations
- Recover more quickly after intense days or conversations
- Develop simple self-care practices that fit into busy lives
These are practical tools designed for people who live in the real world, not just on retreats. Portable, applicable and rewarding.
What the series includes
Each weekly session blends:
- Short, practical teaching grounded in mindfulness and emotional intelligence
- Gentle movement and somatic awareness to release accumulated tension
- Guided meditation that is accessible, even if your mind feels busy
- Reflection to help connect the practices to work and daily life
- A small, respectful group setting that values confidentiality and care
This is an in-person experience because presence matters. Nervous systems regulate more effectively when we slow down together.
Who this series is for
If the below sounds like you, you need this:
- Work in fast-paced or high-responsibility environments
- Feeling capable but worn down
- Want self-care that feels intelligent, grounded, and human
- Looking for it to be OK to take time for you
No prior mindfulness or meditation experience is needed. Curiosity and willingness are enough.
What participants say
In our workshops participants report:
- Feeling more grounded during stressful moments
- Greater clarity and patience at work
- Less reactivity in meetings and conversations
- Improved ability to recover after demanding days
- A deeper sense of steadiness and self-trust
These changes tend to be subtle and lasting. They show up in how you listen, how you pause, and how you care for yourself under pressure.
