Your Heart Was Made For This- #MindfulSocial

 November 1, 2023

By  fouts

With so much going on in the world today, many of us are feeling the desire for human connection, healing and awakening to self-care, and developing the inner resources we need to thrive. A client recently asked me: “Can we as individuals really create change when we are in such pain as a society?”. If you have that question too, you really should spend some quality time with yourself and Oren Jay Sofer’s new book “Your Heart Was Made For This”, available now for preorder.
Drawing on great teachers through the centuries as well as Oren’s own experiences this is a readable and relatable book designed to be read and considered chapter by chapter. Taking the time to reflect and build on the foundational pieces as we go, a whole year of retreat of sorts!

If you practice patience, kindness, and ease, with every moment you grow stronger. In fact, these heart qualities can become your default orientation so that, when hardships arise, you draw not on old reactions but on new strengths

As a bonus when you preorder you’ll get a discount from the publisher, free guided meditations and instant access to the first chapter. I was fortunate to have a review copy and I’m giving myself the gift of time to soak it all in. You should too!

It was a pleasure to have Oren on this podcast way back in 2019 about his book, “Say What You Mean” and I’ve referred to his approach to clearer communicating with others many times. After you hear this show, be sure to listen to that podcast too!
