I first discovered Oren on Twitter and discovered his book, Say what you Mean- A Mindful Guide to Nonviolent Communication Having studied the work of Marshall Rosenberg in Nonviolent Communication for some time, I dove into the book and devoured it. If you are wanting to bring empathy forward and be open to clearer communication with others, you really should get this one, there is so much to learn! About Oren Jay Sofer
Oren teaches meditation and communication retreats and workshops nationally. A member of the Spirit Rock Teachers Council, he is a Certified Trainer of Nonviolent Communication and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner for the healing of trauma. Oren also holds a degree in Comparative Religion from Columbia University and is the founder of Next Step Dharma and co-founder of Mindful Healthcare. He is the author of Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication, and co-author of Teaching Mindfulness to Empower Adolescents.
