Delicious is not dead

In fact, Delicious just got some new bells and whistles that take it beyond being the social media bookmarking site where you keep your bookmarks and pin your SEO dreams on. Delicious just go real time. Yahoo (Delicious’s parent co) added Fresh Bookmarks to the site. Now when you visit Delicious bookmarks the first page is the Fresh Bookmarks tab and you’ll see the latest bookmarks referenced on Twitter’s public time-line.

In addition when you save a bookmark through a Firefox extension or bookmarklet, Delicious an option to share by email or tweet pops up automagically, allowing you to tweet your links as fast as you find ’em.

Thanks for pointing me to this new real-time feature of Delicious. I'll have to test it to see how useful it actually is. I'm a huge fan of Delicious and have a few years worth of bookmarks stored up, but it's primarily been a tool to help me keep track of articles/posts that are of interest or that I might want to reference later. And for that, it's been very good!
