Make charity part of your New Year's promises
We went for a wonderful hike at the Pinnacles yesterday, and talked about our plans for the new year. Hikes like this help clear our heads of all the chatter and craziness of our businesses and remember what is really important. We talked about how we plan to give back to the community and the world at large, and to find ways to do that through our extended networks to have an even larger positive impact.
Giving back is one of the things that sometimes slips by the wayside in tough times, yet for people who don’t have the opportunities and every day necessities we take for granted, their lives are still a struggle.
We take the abundance of clean water for granted, we fill wading pools for our dogs to play in on a hot summer day, we dump our water bottles into houseplants when we get home from a hike, but in many small towns around the world they don’t have clean safe water to drink or bathe in.
For just a few dollars you can make a huge difference in the lives of so many people. If giving back is part of your New Year plans, why not take a moment to visit this page where you can learn more about the cause and donate a small amount and make a huge difference in someone’s life.
Just $20 can provide clean water for one person for an entire year.
Please take a look at the site and help spread the word about this wonderful organization by sharing the link with your friends and family too. 100% of your donation will directly build freshwater wells and fund basic sanitation projects for people who would not otherwise have safe drinking water.
1.1 billion people on our planet lack access to safe, clean drinking water. That’s one in six of us. 80% of all disease on the planet is attributable to the lack of water and basic sanitation. I hope you can take a moment to help spread the word and make a difference.
